Why Fish?

We use fish imagery to remind us that our own culture can be hard to notice until we get out of our comfort zone and experience a different one.  A fish doesn’t know it lives in water until it experiences air for the first time.  Organizational culture is similar; we don’t realize our own cultural norms until we experience a different culture that makes what was once hidden from view immediately recognizable.
